Brief:
Produce a website to sell designer sunglasses at discount prices. The site must look appealing and make good use of colours and showcase products from many of the leading sunglasses manufacturers.
Solution:
Sprout Digital used PHP and a MySQL database to store product information and generate dynamic XHTML, CSS & JavaScript pages.
A PHP session based shopping cart stores user orders on the site, with a PayPal integration taking care of credit card payments and orders finally being stored in the MySQL database on completion of an order.
The site was optimised for search engines and included an RSS feed of all the products being exported to Google Base so that all the products also featured in the Google shopping results as well as organic listings.
